About Course

The Indian Contract Act, 1872 is a law that governs contracts in India. It was enacted on 25th April 1872 and came into force on 1st September 1872. The act defines and regulates the legal principles governing contracts in India.

 

The act also deals with the different types of contracts such as sale of goods, indemnity, guarantee, bailment, pledge, and agency. It lays down the rules for the formation, performance, and discharge of contracts, as well as the remedies available in case of breach of contract.
